SIGN THE PETITION TO SUPPORT HOME EDUCATORS IN THE UK
Home educators are under attack in the UK. The review by G. Badman presented on June 11 and accepted in full by Ed Balls, Secretary of State for Children, Schools and Families, the same day, aims to change primary legislation to make home education possible only under annual license from Local Authorities. This will give them the power to compulsory register and monitor all home educating families. Parents, now responsible for their children's education in law, will lose this. These measures are being put forward without any evidence that changes are necessary or that the present powers Local Authorities have are not sufficient.
